Wincanton has been awarded a two-year contract by Deckers Outdoor Corp, to manage its supply chain between Asia and the UK.
Wincanton will provide inbound transportation of Deckers product via road, sea and air.
Once in the UK, Wincanton will provide Deckers with shared-user warehousing and transport to generate both cost and environmental benefits, while incorporating value added services including returns management as part of the contract.
Wincanton will initially provide Deckers with 5,000 sq.ft of warehouse space at its Greenford site. Goods will be distributed via Wincanton's shared-user transport network to Deckers' retail outlets in London.
