Turkish Airlines has signed a Memorandum of Understanding to acquire two A330-200 Freighters, in order to prepare for future expansion.
With a greater payload than initially anticipated, the A330-200F fly non-stop carrying more than 64 metric tonnes over 7,400 km or more than 69 metric tonnes up to 5,930 km.
These range and payload capabilities will enable operators to open up new or extend existing cargo routes.
The new A330-200F began its flight-test and certification program last week, and delivery to launch operator Etihad Crystal Cargo is scheduled for summer 2010.
