Mobile TeleSystems (MTS), the largest mobile phone operator in Russia and the CIS, has selected Kuehne + Nagel as its main supplier for airfreight import and export as well as road transport services.
Under the agreement, Kuehne + Nagel's services include airfreight import activities from approximately forty origins in countries such as Canada, Mexico, Germany, the Netherlands, Hungary and the CIS to Moscow.
Kuehne + Nagel will also manage the delivery by truck from foreign countries including CIS to Moscow.
CEVA Logistics has renewed a contract to deliver and install office solutions and supplies for Ricoh UK.
The two companies have worked together for eighteen years. This renewal includes an expansion to support Ricoh's recent growth following the integration of its wholly owned companies Infotec UK and IKON UK.
CEVA maintains responsibility for providing a two-tier service from Ricoh's strategic distribution centre in Wellingborough, Northamptonshire. The operation involves scheduled 48-hour distribution of office equipment to dealers and order fulfilment to end users, which includes installation of machinery at customers' premises, a demonstration of the machines' basic functions, and removal and recycling of unwanted packaging.
After a successful 2009 sugar crop, whereby Panalpina moved approximately 5,000 TEU for Cargill Sugar Division, the partnership has been extended with the renewal of the current service contract with Panalpina Brazil for another year.
The volume forecast for the 2010 crop season is approximately 1,000 TEU per month from Santos to destinations mainly on the Indian subcontinent, the Mediterranean and the Middle East.
