CEVA Logistics has been awarded a contract with Sainsbury's to provide nationwide two-man white glove home delivery services in support of Sainsbury's non-food direct business.
CEVA will manage deliveries across the UK with the majority of orders collected by CEVA from Sainsbury's fulfilment centre in Corby and transported to CEVA's Northampton distribution centre for delivery to the customer.
Other made-to-order products will be collected by CEVA from the manufacturers and delivered direct to the customer's home.
Toll Group has entered into an agreement with Chevron Australia to manage the Barrow Island Supply Base & Logistics Services contract for the Gorgon Project.
The contract is valued at approximately A$180m over three years.
The work is expected to commence on the island after receipt of all necessary government approvals and following a final investment decision on the Chevron-operated Gorgon Project from the Gorgon Joint Venture participants, expected in the second half of 2009.
The Gorgon Project is a joint venture between the Australian subsidiaries of Chevron, (operator), ExxonMobil and Shell, to develop the Greater Gorgon gas fields, which are located between 130 km and 200 km off the north-west coast of Western Australia.
Milo's Tea Company has awarded a Dedicated Contract Carriage (DCC) contract to Ryder System.
Under the multi-year contract, Ryder will provide dedicated delivery services of Milo's Tea products from its distribution centre in Bessemer, Alabama, to retail stores throughout the state.
Ryder's DCC service is a customized suite of transportation management services that includes vehicles, drivers, fleet management, and preventive and programmed fleet maintenance to optimise deliveries.
Sara Lee Corporation has appointed OHL as the end-to-end supply chain solution provider for all of the company's international household and beverage business.
Ryder began providing contract logistics services to OHL in Indiana and Nevada twelve years ago.
The relationship between Sara Lee and OHL has now been expanded to cover an end-to-end supply chain solution, including air and ocean freight forwarding, customs brokerage services, drayage, inbound and outbound transportation.
OHL also provides Sara Lee with value added services such as assembling and shipping end cap display racks, repackaging products and applying store specific SKU's for four major retail stores.
KAG Logistics has signed a two-year transportation and logistics services agreement with Penske Truck Leasing.
KAG Logistics will be the single-source provider of bulk fuel transportation to 282 Penske locations throughout the country.
Penske operates 200,000+ vehicles and services customers from more than 1,000 locations in North America, South America, Europe and Asia.
The Fuels Delivery Group of KAG Logistics' parent company, Kenan Advantage Group, will provide the fuel transportation for the majority of the locations in the agreement.
The contract is valued at more than $10 million.
