Japan
- AMB Property Corp has leased more than 185,000 sq.ft in its AMB Tsurumi Distribution Centre development in Tokyo. The multistory facility is located on Tokyo Bay, near to the ports of Yokohama and Kawasaki and Haneda Airport.
- AMB has leased approximately 130,000 sq.ft in its AMB Amagasaki Distribution Centre 2 development in Osaka, to two customers - 68,000 sq.ft to food distribution company KK Kono, and 62,000 sq.ft to Kuehne + Nagel. The 981,000 sq.ft facility is now 97% leased. The five-storey facility is near the ports of Osaka and Kobe, and is adjacent to the nearly fully-leased 965,000 sq.ft AMB Amagasaki Distribution Centre 1.
- As at September 30, 2008, AMB's portfolio in Japan totalled more than 10.5 million sq.ft of property operating and under development, more than 6.7 million sq,ft of which is located in the Tokyo market and more than 2.8 million sq.ft in the Osaka market.
Europe
- Belgium - AMB has leased approximately 222,000 sq.ft of its Brussels development, AMB Boom Distribution Centre, to supply chain management specialists No Limit!, part of the French Staci Group. The facility, which is now 97% leased, is located in the A12 corridor connecting the property to the Port of Antwerp and Brussels International Airport.
- Italy - AMB has leased more than 126,000 sq.ft of its Milan development to Italian food products distributor, Corriere Cecchi. The development is located ten miles south of Milan's city centre, provides rapid access to the Lombardia-Piedmont industrial region of Italy, and is situated along route SP40, linking the A1 and the A7 that connect southern Italy and the Port of Genoa, respectively.
- France - AMB has leased 264,000 sq.ft to Wincanton in its AMB Isle d'Abeau Logistics Park C development in Lyon - the primary distribution hub for goods entering Europe via the port of Marseille. The logistics park's location serves one of the larger pan-European distribution networks due to its proximity to the main transportation access routes into Barcelona, Milan, Switzerland and Paris.
- France - AMB has pre-leased 319,000 sq.ft of port development projects in the Seine River corridor, which connects Paris to the English Channel and serves as the main gateway for imports into France. AMB leased 137,000 sq.ft to Schenker France and 73,000 sq.ft to French maritime forwarder, Necotrans, at AMB Port of Rouen Distribution Centre, which is adjacent to the Port of Rouen's main container terminal.
- France - AMB has also leased 109,000 sq.ft of AMB Le Havre Logistics Park 1 to pharmaceutical company, DIDACTIC.
- The Netherlands - AMB has leased 68,000 sq.ft of the AMB President Distribution Centre built-to-suit development near Amsterdam Airport Schiphol, to IDEXX Laboratories.
- As at September 30, 2008, AMB's European portfolio totalled approximately 13.6 million sq.ft of operating and under development properties, including approximately 5.5 million sq.ft of seaport-related facilities.
US
AMB has leased 71,000 sq.ft of the AMB IAH Logistics Centre III build-to-suit development next to Houston's George Bush Intercontinental Airport, to Forward Air. AMB previously completed 256,000 sq.ft of build-to-suit-for-sale developments for the US airfreight forwarder.
Canada
AMB has leased more than 590,000 sq.ft to a wholly-owned subsidiary of a Fortune 100 company, stabilising its more than 1.1 million sq.ft development in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) West submarket. More than 532,000 sq.ft of the development is already leased to Vitran Logistics.
The property's proximity to the Trans-Canada Highway, major intermodal rail yards and the airport provides rapid access to the GTA and significant portions of the Canadian consumer base and US population.
As at September 30, 2008, AMB's portfolio in the Greater Toronto Area totalled more than 4.3 million sq.ft of operating and under development properties.
Worldwide, AMB owned, or had investments in, on a consolidated basis or through unconsolidated joint ventures, properties and development projects totalling approximately 158.4 million sq.ft in fifteen countries in the Americas, Europe and Asia.
