Recent key appointments


Senior and executive level appointments have been announced by Canadian Pacific, Pacer International, YRC Worldwide, DB Intermodal Services, CH Robinson, CargoWise edi, Emirates SkyCargo and Maersk Line.
 

Canadian Pacific Railway has appointed Kathryn McQuade as executive vice president & chief financial officer, effective immediately. Ms McQuade has served as EVP & chief operating officer since joining the company in 2007.

Former EVP & CFO Mike Lambert has left the company to pursue other interests.

Pacer International has promoted Brian Kane to chief financial officer, effective September 15th. He has been with the company for ten years, most recently service as senior vice president of corporate finance.

Kane succeeds Larry Yarberry, who will continue to serve in a senior executive capacity through December 31, 2008.

Pacer has also promoted Joseph Doherty to executive vice president of investor relations, also effective September 15th. He will continue his duties as treasurer - a position he has held since July 2000.

Pacer's current chief financial officer, Larry Yarberry, will retire at the end of the year after serving as EVP & CFO since May 1999.

YRC Worldwide has appointed Mike Kelley to the newly created position of chief sustainability officer, effective immediately. He will continue to serve as vice president of external affairs.

DB Intermodal Services appointed Manfred Michel to take over the management of a new business unit - International Terminals, effective August 1st. He will continue his assignments as managing director of Deutsche Umschlaggesellschaft Schiene-Straße (Bodenheim) and chief operations officer of China United International Rail Containers (Beijing) - positions he has held since 1992 and 2007 respectively.

CH Robinson Worldwide has appointed Brian Harms as director of global forwarding business development, based at the company's global HQ in Minnesota, US.  He has been with the company since 1997, and has led the company's corporate sales team for the past three years.

CargoWise edi has appointed industry veteran Bill Todd as the company's new business development manager Customs House Brokerage (CHB), based in Chicago. Prior to joining CargoWise edi, Todd was vice president of sales for software provider IES. Previous employers include Forwardair, Atlantic Container Line and Leschaco.

Emirates Airline has appointed Greg Johnson as the new cargo manager in Australia. He has been with Emirates SkyCargo for the past eight years.

AP Moller-Maersk has appointed Omar Shamsie as the new Maersk Line country manager for Malaysia and Singapore, based in Kuala Lumpur.  Shamsie was previously the managing director for East Africa based in Kenya. Prior to that he was managing director of Maersk Egypt and Maersk Iran.

Shamsie succeeds Henrik Jensen, who has moved to Copenhagen to head Maersk Line's global customer service organisation.
