Agility Qatar has signed a Memorandum of Understanding to enter into merger discussions with the Gulf Warehousing Company (GWC).
The new entity will be called GWC - Agility.
According to GWC chairman Mohammed El Emadi, the merger will lead to the creation of a powerful new force in the region's logistics and warehousing industry.
Formed in 2004, GWC' flagship purpose-built 25,000 m2 warehouse is located in the Doha Industrial area, and offers ambient high rise storage and frozen / temperature-controlled storage to third party customers.
Agility operates in 100 countries. Its Switzerland-based commercial division, Agility Global Integrated Logistics (GIL), provides supply chain solutions to customers in the technology, retail, chemicals and other
Sectors, and its Washington, US-based Agility Defence & Government Services (DGS) division provides logistics services to governments, relief agencies and international institutions worldwide.
