FedEx has expanded its hybrid-electric fleet by 50% with the conversion of 92 trucks to hybrid-electric systems.
FedEx's hybrid-electric fleet now comprises 264 vehicles - the largest in North America.
To date, FedEx's hybrid-electric fleet has logged more than four million miles of revenue service since its introduction in 2004.
The 92 retrofitted hybrid vehicles will be put into service in California, primarily in the Los Angeles, San Diego and San Francisco metropolitan areas
FedEx operates LPG sprinter vans in London, and will also deploy ten zero-emission Modec electric delivery vehicles in the UK.
