DPWN teams up with India Post for international express service


India Post and Deutsche Post World Net (DPWN) have partnered to provide an international express delivery service - WorldNet Express (WNX).
 

WNX is India Post's first joint mail product.  This partnership offers Indian businesses world-class speed, reliability and technology, and the ability to reach global markets.

India Post currently offers an economical and reliable international express mail service (EMS) to 97 countries. WorldNet Express will expand India Post's reach to 220 countries.

This service enables customers to send documents and parcels on courier mode (Delivery Duty Unpaid Shipments) from a Post Office in 21 state capitals to any of the 220 countries with a maximum transit time of four days.

The service will be available in 237 Post Offices in 21 state capitals and will be rolled out to more locations in the near future.

Select Post Offices of India Post will book the WNX articles, and hand them over to DPWN in India for delivery to other countries. DPWN will also provide a complete online track & trace service.

Initially, only articles that do not require custom clearance will be accepted for WNX.

India's international express industry is currently valued at Rs 1600 crores, and growing at 20% annually.
