CEVA Logistics has secured a three-year extension of its partnership with BTCESAB, a forklift truck manufacturer in Italy that is merging with Toyota Forklift Italy.
CEVA will become the exclusive logistics provider for Toyota Material Handling Italy, assuming responsibility for the management of the entire distribution supply chain, including high-value added activities.
CEVA will manage distribution and collection from retailers and customers, and will continue to provide the customer with the services included in the previous contract, including management of forklift truck warehousing activities and the organisation of a shuttle linking the customer's Italian plant with its warehouse.
CEVA will also be responsible for manual trans-pallet handling activities.
Altogether, 2,500 m2 of the Zola Predosa warehouse in Bologna will be set aside for the management of these activities.
CEVA Logistics has been awarded a new contract with Baker Hughes covering the management of all inbound and outbound freight logistics within Australasia.
Baker Hughes has operations in more than ninety countries, and provides advanced products and services to help customers drill, evaluate and produce oil and gas wells.
Under the contract, CEVA will be responsible for the management of all customs clearance, de-stuffing of containers and loose product deliveries to Baker Hughes' operations.
This will be achieved through CEVA's network of multi-user warehouse facilities in Australia (Melbourne, Adelaide, Darwin and Brisbane) as well as in New Zealand.
CEVA will also be responsible for line haul operations along the West Australian coast, drill bit cleaning and preparation, together with a range of wharf services, including break bulk.
